Newer houses, larger footprints, and the easiest run to the Tollway in the city.
North Dallas is a broad area rather than a single neighborhood, running north of LBJ Freeway and spreading either side of the Dallas North Tollway and Preston Road. It was developed later than the neighborhoods closer in, and the housing stock reflects that: larger floor plans, more bedrooms, more garage, on lots that are generous without being estate-sized.
The pockets differ considerably. Some streets are original to the 1970s and 1980s and are now being renovated or replaced; others are newer and were built to current expectations from the start. Preston Hollow sits immediately to the south, and prices generally step down as you move north.
What holds this market together is access. For buyers commuting to Legacy, Frisco or downtown, the road position is often the deciding factor.
